Having over three decades of extensive background in benefits, human resources, and business management with a leading international law firm, Victoria I. Thomas shifted her career to the insurance industry and now leads Forrester & Associates Insurance Agency. She is Certified Nationally as a Senior Professional in Human Resources, holds a Certificate in Human Resources from Duke University, and is certified Nationally in Consumer Driven Health Care and Corporate Wellness. During her tenure, Forrester was awarded Business of the Year by the Chatham Chamber of Commerce, acknowledging the company’s quality service and community involvement. Aside from being an employee benefits’ specialist, Thomas is also an active certified fitness instructor and healthcare professional. She was honored as a finalist for Healthiest CEO which provided her a rare opportunity set the example for being healthy as a means to reduce health care premiums while sharing her first-hand knowledge in health and wellness. Likewise, she has proudly completed 63 days of Insanity Workout Program with Shaun T., another milestone for any fitness professional. In giving back to the community, Thomas shares her passion in wellness through teaching classes to create awareness on the daily health issues of today. Presently, she serves on the HR Advisory Committee of the Carolina Association of General Contractors, as a member of the Chatham County Chamber of Commerce, the State, National, and Triangle Health Underwriters Association, and the Durham Orange Chatham HBA Association.
